We’re adopting a baby! James and I are so excited to be parents, and we’re just getting started with the paperwork. At this moment, we’re looking to fundraise around $30,000 to cover a chunk of the adoption costs, and we need your help!
We’re in the process of the home study, and by July our family profile will be available to birth mothers across the nation. Once a birth mother chooses us, it’s a match! At that time, we’ll need to have all of our money ready-to-go. The waiting period for a match can take anywhere from 3 to 12 months. So we’ll have our first child anywhere from this Christmas to next Christmas!
Straight Up Donations
If you’re not wanting to participate in any the options below but want to give directly to us, we’re now accepting money through Paypal at paypal.me/babyeggers.
Sending money between family and friends is the best way to make the most of your donation. When we use crowdfounding resources the hosting site takes a anywhere from 5%-8% of the donation to cover their operating costs and the credit card fees. When you donate with the Paypal link above, 100% of your donation reaches us.
Spring Cleaning/Summer Garage Sales
Doing some spring cleaning and need to clear some space? Send your items to us! We’re going to host a garage sale this summer and sell items from our friends and family to raise money.
Don’t live in KC? Host your own garage sale and donate your income!
You helped us adopt our first child and all you got was this lousy tshirt.
But for real, we’re selling tshirts now through mid-April, and 50% of proceeds goes towards our adoption fund!
