Some of my clients are brand new to ConvertKit and have a lot of questions about Forms and how to use them. So I created a quick video covering the basics of forms and included the top 2 takeaways below.
ConvertKit Form Naming Conventions
Pick a system for naming your forms and stick to it. The system you should come up with should be very descriptive and it should be easy to figure out where the form is used on your site just by looking at the name.
My forms names include their locations in their name:
- Website optimization – Blog post
- Valuable newsletter – Sidebar
- Website optimization – Modal for desktop
Archive, Don’t Delete
Never, ever delete your forms. If you’re not using it anymore, select to archive it. You may want to keep the stats, use the form as a way to segment your audience, or make it live again at a later time.
