Those of us who manage a Facebook page have been noticing in the last few days something absolutely awful: Facebook is freezing whenever we add a link to a post.
What’s happening is that Facebook is freezing trying to pull up the Live Preview function of the link. Your page is frozen, and you have to kill the page and start over.
So what’s the solution? Build it in drafts.
Go to your Facebook page. When there, click on Publishing Tools in the top menu.
Click the blue Create button and type in the text of your post. DO NOT ADD YOUR LINK YET. Save it as a draft.
Now click on that in the Drafts section on the right-hand side.
Click on the draft and edit it.
And now you can add your link and publish the post.
And that’s it! Hopefully Facebook will fix this flaw soon, but in the meantime you can work around it with Facebook’s Publishing Tools.
This has been driving me BANANAS!! I thought I was the only one. THANK YOU!
Brilliant! Thanks.
